What is this thing?
BookLocalPG connects Prince George residents with local service providers — haircuts, snow removal, tutoring, home repairs, and everything in between. Providers get a real booking page. Customers get someone local, not a random Kijiji ad from 2019.
Running a side hustle shouldn't require a business degree, a Square account, and three different apps that don't talk to each other. We built something simpler: one profile, one link, bookings handled.
It started with a Facebook post
A mother posted in a Prince George community group that her son was available to shovel snow from driveways for $50.
That got us thinking: How do local service providers — especially students and side hustlers — actually get discovered in Prince George?
The answer? Mostly they don't. There's no easy way to build an online presence, show your work, and get found by people who need you. Facebook groups are great for lost cats and heated municipal debates. They're less great for “I need someone to fix my fence by Thursday.”
So we built BookLocalPG — a free, professional profile for every service provider in Prince George. No algorithm required.
So… how much does this cost?
Nothing. Zero. Zip. Nada.
We're not charging monthly fees because we're not evil. BookLocalPG exists to help our community, not squeeze service providers for cash they don't have. We've seen what happens when platforms get greedy, and we're not doing that.
Every feature is free. Every provider profile is free. Forever. No credit card, no hidden fees, no “upgrade to Pro” prompts, no “limited to 5 bookings per month” nonsense.
But servers aren't free…

The people who need this most — students, side hustlers, solo providers — shouldn't have to pick between rent and a monthly SaaS bill. That's the whole point.
Built by a studio down the street
BookLocalPG is built by Elora & Co — a small digital studio in Prince George. We design and build websites, web apps, and the occasional thing-we-wish-existed-in-our-own-city.
This is our first shipped portfolio piece. Not a mockup. Not a “coming soon” landing page. A real product with real providers, real bookings, and real reviews — running in production, right here in PG.
If you're wondering whether we can build something useful, complicated, and actually maintain it — well, you're looking at the proof. BookLocalPG started as “wouldn't it be nice if…” and ended as “oh wow, people are actually using this.”
